I would like to add one point:
Generally there is a saying in Telugu "Pranaalu Panchbootallo kalavatam" (life of a person got mingled in Five elements).
The same has happened in YSR's death. The analogy is:
1.He died when it was Raining(element Water)
2.Helicopter caught fire(element Fire)
3.While travelling on Top of a Hill(element Sky)
4.When the wind was blowing at a high speed(element Air)
5.His body was lying on the soil(element Earth)

In a way we can say he got mingled with Nature....

Allow me to reproduce a part of my comment on another blog:

...there is one area where his contribution will be remembered. Kolleru Lake, South Asia's largest fresh water lake was all but killed by commercial exploitation. Operation Kolleru revived its life. The CM played the game well, very well indeed. For those who were watching the lake die over decades, it was a joy to watch how it was conducted.

Even the Marxists, who were opposing the Operation, backtracked when the local newspaper Eenadu termed it a blow to the "big-fish" - the rich shrimp exporters who made the lake their own. Birds can already be seen returning to what was till recently a marchy swamp. If the lake is thriving again and if forces of greed and commercialization can be put in check, a century from now there is one politician who will get credit for its revival.

Thanks Arun and Jai for your comments.

However, while watching the media these days, I strongly feel that the adulation and eulogies being heaped on YSR are a little overboard and more than acceptable limits. An impression is being given that YSR took AP from nothing to where it is now.

Agreed that he has done a lot of good work, but he has had his share of wrong doings too, the damage of which will take years to control. I think both Naidu and YSR deserve equal accolades for making AP what it is today - a model state in many aspects. The media can do with toning down the eulogies now.

Am interested in knowing your opinions too... if you get to read this comment, please do let me know what you think ..

Well, what I reproduced above was the positive part of my comment on that other blog. I have never considered him good for our state, period. He took populism to obscene levels.

I have no access to Indian TV, but I know we have an unprofessional media that gets carried away over little things.
